hi all,
are the power steer pumps the same between VCT XR6 and normal XR6/falcon? is it only the mounting bracket that is different? im in need of a new pump for my VCT engine. thanks.

PWR strg Pumps are the same for ALL AU 6cyls.
The front bracket is the only difference. |

Correct me if I am wrong, But my EF one mounted up to my AU engine with no problems. So you could use one form an EB even?
Cheers EDIT except the pulley is not suited to the serpentine belt setup of course  But EF EL should be ok

while im on the subject are the black plastic pwr steer pump covers specific to the VCT engine or is it the same case as the pump? thanks.

No, there is one that is specific to the VCT engine. I have one on mine, but im off to dinner, so i cant post a pic now. But there is one in my thread
