Hey guys I got some extractors and a hi flow cat off a friend of mine but it's off an au xr6 tickford, would it be a straight swap for my stock manifold and cat, I know the cat bolts up the pipe replacing the old but looks like I would need to take off the steering (column)? In the engine bay to get enough room to drop the bottom end of the extractors in

Straight bolt up.

Why would you need to remove the intermediate shaft?

Are you trying to fit it with the cat attached?

Unless I'm doing something wrong with trying to fit it around the shaft I thought the bottom end of the extractors were too big to fit through the gap and no I'm fitting it without the cat attached

Should fit through the gap. Can be a little tight and you will need to twist the extarctors around a bit.

You can pull the intermediate shaft if you want, just don't move the steering wheel with it removed.

*update*
Extractors are now in but the bloody flange on the cat that bolts up to the extractors is angled wrong so it's booked in at a local exhaust shop to get reangled tomorrow morning!
Fingers crossed this is my last hurdle :P
