Hey, i have a 2002 AU series 2 when i have to stop real quick the car always stalls, the second i put my foot on the brake the rpm goes right down any ideas??? cheers

check the pipe going from the airbox to the converter its probably got a hole in it or not on securely.

other things if it aint that,
ics is dirty and needs cleaning.
converter needs a service, basically clean out.

shouldn't be too much of a drama.

hows it run normally?

Yeah normaly it runs real good the problem has only started in the last few weeks

mine does this intermittently ... have no idea what causes it (have replaced stepper motor, no difference, am thinking it's more what controls the stepper motor) all i do is keep an eye on the tacho and kick the accelerator if it looks like dieing completely, can catch it 9 times outa 10 ... am very practised at left foot braking :)

There most likely waxy gunk blocking the idle circuit on the converter.
