now this may just be my paranoia jumping in here but i just got my EL GHIA back from the crashies and i had heaps of probs with the quality of their work but thats another story

has anyone got a original EL GHIA that they could please check something 4 me

i swear b4 i took it in 4 repairs my auto gearshift knob was leather covered and now it is grey vinyl

Id be fairly confident that youve just got ripped. Id be pretty upset, as they have a HIGH retail price from ford. Have you paid up yet?

Stuff the consumer affairs thats just plain robbery.

when i got it back the first time i sent it back with a list of 40 faults and i wasnt being picky

the 2nd time it went back with a list of about 20 faults some minor and some pretty major ones

now i think they have swapped some parts , discharged my aircond and who knows wtf else

I REALLY DONT WANT TO GO BACK AGAIN

Interceptor - shift button is grey couple shades darker than the knob

what i need to know is what should of been there originally - anyone got a pic of one please cause i WILL be goin' back if they have ripped me

yer shoudl be leather with chrome buttom

ok guys thanks 4 the replies - i knew it wasnt right but i only had the car for a couple of weeks when some prick T-BONED me while it was parked and the thieving crashies have had it for 3 months

I WILL BE GOING BACK TO SORT IT OUT

That's so horrible! They shouldn't have had it for 3 months for starters!
It's difficult when you're just getting used to a car and you have to have it fixed - very hard to know what's right and what's not.
What were the major things you had to have re-done?
