any decent brands of air intake to suit BA - BF 6s out there, other than ss inductions?
im looking for the shielded pod type, like a growler, but not exactly in my price range :)
any other places doing it?

you'd be hard pressed. Im in the same boat.
I did find a nice fake carbon fibre one from AWC but turns out they were just ripping off SS and that got s**t canned.
I have found though that just fitting the 2nd Phoon snorkel does a good job of it. You can knock up some ally plate yaself to go behind the grill to feed the standard intake. Im yet to do it though. its on the "list"

Buy the Turbo adaptor for the airbox and cut it in it works fine

Can this be adapted to fit EF V8 air box?

Unsure what he means by Turbo adaptor but am presuming it is in reference to what I said of the Typhoon snorkel...
It is a 2nd air inlet on the bottom front side of the air filter housing. I doubt it will be a perfect fit but wouldnt be impossible to make it so.

Just cut some holes in the front bottom half of the air box dude that works and costs nada.
