cabbi... you look at all the pics mate? Definately sits on top of an intake that feeds down. You notice the pic where the airbox is gone?

My bad. But looking at the last pic my case seems to hold firm as there is no air box above the turbo like in the other pics.

look at the pipe going from the shaker to the air box, in front of the motor...

s**t yeah I like the look of this. Functional on the Turbo 6 is a big win in my books.

Um... I don't think that's functional by the looks of things.

I dont now what you mean by functional. The intake sits directly above the turbo and feeds cold air directly into the turbo from the outside at 100km/h or above the air has a ramming effect aswell ie that is being forced into the turbo. While the car is in motion the air being feed into the turbo is the same ambient temp as the outside air temp. When the car is stopped you naturally get heat build up as with the stock factory stuff.

The last pic is a different design as a person I built it for wanted to keep the factory airbox and intake plenum.

Here is a pic of how little distance the air travels before it reaches the turbo

I dont think that you can get more functional than that

is the shaker central to the bonnet? or offset to the turbo side?
maybe the motors are offset, but ive never actually taken notice of it....

If you look at the 2 pics you will notice that the shaker sits slightly offset to the engine this enables the shaker to sit central to the bonnet when the bonnet is closed
