I have a stock 2003 BA XT, every second or third day i drive it, i start it up, take off down the road and a short time after the engine light comes on, i have no acceleration and sounds like its run on 2 or 3 cylinders, all i do is chuck it into neutral, turn it off start it straight away and its fine for the rest of the day, this is starting to do this more and more often? any ideas would be great, cheers.

Best thing to do is take it to ford, or an auto elec. that has the software and get them to run a test on it, the problem should be seen fairly easily, ud rip your hair out trying to find the problem causing it to fail into limp mode, should only cost about 100 if that. If they don't find an issue then u can start fault finding, failing ecu, oxy sensor, system not charging properly, could be a whole bunch of things, save the potential headache and get it Sussed out properly first
