Ride: 2004 BA Falcon n/a Manual

Location: Auckland
New Zealand

Hey, recently I bought a 2004 BA Falcon n/a manual. It has 220,000 kms on the clock. And I'm having a few issues with it. When under load (mild to heavy acceleration) the check engine light illuminates, the car cuts the power a bit and then turns off again as I ease off the throttle. Also when warmed up the car idle's quite rough around 700rpm stuttering down to 650ish every few seconds. Lastly twice now it has just died under load for no apparent reason whilst driving down the road. I changed all six plugs which didn't help, and none of the plugs looked particularly clean or dirty. I've cleaned the throttle body Which was relatively dirty and still nothing. I undid the coil packs one at a time but cannot tell which cylinder is misfiring because it isn't a complete misfire. The coil packs are all of and aftermarket brand and i have no idea how old they are. I plugged it into my obd2 scanner and no fault codes show up even when light is illuminated while driving. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Went to the mechanic the other day and got him to scan the car for error codes
came back with the following six...

P1270 engine rpm
P1565 -
P2105 throttle actuation
P2110 throttle actuation
P2138 pedal position sensor
P2139 pedal position sensor

at this stage im thinking ill replace the entire throttle body tps included and see if that helps.
any opinions?

p1565 is cruise control-p1270-p2105-p2110 are probably telling you it has been in limp mode- TPS fault is one reason these logged but can also be caused by ECU fault or wiring fault or fault in "Accelerator pedal"
check sensor & connections at Accelerator pedal sensor (p1238-p1239) refer to this-
check sensor & connections at TPS may have logged codes

so just an update, because of what you said i thought the pedal was the most likely cause and i bought a second hand accelerator pedal off "trade me" for $60 and went ahead and chucked it in one night..... what a mission! far harder than i had anticipated. if anyone needs advice on doing this give me a shout. but anyway took her for a quick thrash and the problem is all fixed. unfortunately on my test drive i got pulled up at a booze bus and fined for driving a manual car on an automatic license.... absolute wanker. but cheers for your help! glad the problem is fixed.

basically is a variable resistor that has voltage fed into it and sends a output voltage to the ECU to tell it how much throttle to apply but can have wear and loose output signals when it operates across a worn section the same as TPS switch on throttle plus other possibilities (eg.loose connections -earth faults etc.)

Thanx for that, bit of technology getting into simple operations?
Very occasionly i get a rough run on start-up from cold which clears easily enough, gives a puff of smoke and then is fine .
