I dont think the BTR would hold up to it, They arent a real strong box eithier, I think the T5 will be alright for awhile, but wont be that good with the Turbo.

The BTR box would hold up better than the T5 anyday, and you wouldn't feel as bad breaking it

Cheers

Whilst the wiring is different, thats not a reason not to use the EB Trans.

The EB Trans were very reliable overall - perhaps a little noisy though. If you run a TCM to control the trans it will work fine (and just use the BA PCM to run the engine).

Guys - you need to think laterally. I dont see that so often. Were here *because* we like playing, not because we want to take the safest way out of everything. Its a hackers club!.

a little noisy? have you heard an AU or BA 4 speed. just as noisy

Hey Daz, finally some common sense prevails! Like everything, if you go easy, then it will last for a long time.

Reading this thread really dissapoints me :( as i do not have mine running yet. Im having nothing but trouble with the ems880 running my ba engine.

Can you shed any light on how how got the standard pcm running it? I know it has to be flashed to remove the PATS but what else needs to be done. I am very desperate to get mine running

speak to Owen at TJR motors , Im sure he would tackle your job!

It isnt a big job and should end up cheaper and easier than running a aftermarket ecu

yes many things can be deactivated by flashing the pcm...

make a few calls around to various tuners...
