hi all!

this has prolly been asked but i dont have the time to search the forum so here is my dilemma?

my bettery light is lighting up when i start the car but when i rev it it slowly goes away is this my alternator because i got a brand new battery. beforehand i was using my batterylight bulb for the odometer display but then an autoelectrician told me that this is the problem cause there is no bulb and it can complete the circuit or some s**t but i have replaced the bulb again and still no good?

the brushes in the alternator might be on there way out

Time for a new alternator, check it first if she charges under 13w its on the way out.

Mine does this, mine over charges the battery though, the amp metre reader what ever u want to call it goes all the way right just past 16amps but it turns off after a while. Back when it was an auto it used to make my auto stick in third as if it was in limp home mode. If it stays on for a long period of time ie 45+secs then the battery starts to smell.
