will 70 or 85 amp alternators be able to keep up the charges on both batteries and be able to have the fridges running on the second battery only and charge both batteries still while you got the heater lightsand radio and wipers running

You shouldn't have any problems running a 2nd battery system with a 70 amp alternator. You will want to use an isolating solenoid or a Redarc Smart solenoid to separate the batteries when you are stopped to stop the fridge from draining the start battery.Usually a good idea to freeze the fridge and charge the second battery before going on a trip so that you have a headstart on the cool side of things.Use at least 6mm wire and circuit breakers at both batteries to protect the system.Cheers Kevman
