AFAIK EA through AU all have the same bellhousing patterns.

I believe the XF dizzy will bolt into the 3.9/4.0L engines as it is apparently fairly common in demolition derby cars to use a centrepoint EA intake with an adapter plate and stromberg bolted on with an earlier type dizzy to keep fuel and ignition basic and reliable.

EDIT: Not sure if the dizzy will fit AU, but I guess they still run the idler shaft setup to run the oil pump so I cant see why not.

the au and eb bellhousing are a little different..
you can bolt a eb bellhousing onto an au engine but the 4 bottom bolts dont line up...

The Au bellhousing is different to the Eb, just take it off and stick your old one onto the transmission. 2 inner bolts (from memory) will not line up but are not necesary.

i dont have any pics of the difference in bellhousings, but i had previously ran the eb bellhousing on my au engine with no lower bolts and had over 200rwkw and had no issues..

i know the eb dizzy goes into the au block as im currently running one in mine, but i have heard that the xf dizzy fits but i have not tried it myself...

Thread mine.

For future reference: the difference between AU and E series. This is an AU sandwich plate on an EF bellhousing. The whole lower half does not line up except for the clutch cable hole. Also it seems AU onwards only uses 2 starter bolts and not 3.
