Best place to get replacement accelerator cable?

Hey, as I was taking a couple of cables out through the firewall my accelerator cable just broke right near the pedal.. I guess it was hanging on by a sing;e thread..

Anyways, where's the best place to get a replacement? Repco, wreckers etc. Or would getting a length of cable and that end ball thingy an easier solution, and where should I be looking for that stuff, hardware store similar?

New cable is still available from Ford. I am going on the fact you are meaning the DA?
If so, the cable part number is EA 9C799E $88.25.

Cheers for that, and yeah it's for my DA.

I was hoping to spend as little as possible, I have a spare cable at the garage but it's in the opposite direction I'm getting a lift in tomorrow.. Might just see what Auto One and those places say tomorrow, see if they can recommend somewhere that I can get the cable core and ball bit thingy so I can fix it myself?

Maybe a bicycle shop? if I remember correctly, the inner cable is strand type?

I am sure it will be a LOT cheaper :D

Cable Mate there in the Moonah/Derwent Park area somewhere.
