Listen, if you're thinking of installing a supercharger. Don't ever try doing it your self or with any backyard machenics you know. Don't buy any rebuild units from Tradingpost unless its from a trusted shop like C.A.P.A.
Cause all it gave me was grief, sleepless nights, arguments with the old lady, a large hole in hip pocket. sore fist from the carage walls & lots of focken f**k f**k fricken f**k.

my mistake was "cost cutting" secondhand unit $3500 from tradingpost 2002. came of a ef falcon, mounting bruckets was modified to fit the AU. ended up costing me over $10,000 including 3X repairs.

it would of been more cheaper If I had it fitted by C.A.P.A or a similar specialist. :( :x

that was then.

the ss i dont beleive is worth the money. but it's not to say it don't work.
infact i beleive it works better then the tickford intake.

the test car was my dads AU2 tonner. it drive around all day with a grand weight of 2.5 tonne. at one stage it weighed in at 4 tonne at the local tips weigh bridge. it generaly never gets better then 300km to the tank.

so we figured it would be a good test bed as it needs all the help it can get.
i fitted the ss kit and K&N filter from my XR6. dad drove it for 3 weeks. and i drove my XR6 for 3 weeks with a tickford intake.

his car picked up 30km more to the tank. and my car droped 15.

as soon as we fitted the parts back where they came from the consumption went straigh back to the way it was.

beleive what you will, but dont say some thing doesn't work if you have not personly done a comparison

I thought it was piss easy.... CAPA kits are awesome for DIY.

its NOT actually a C.A.P.A kit. apparently the owner of the EF falcon it came of said its from america, of a mustang. so you see, its probably been repair before the guy brought it. he made a custom made bracket to fit the EF, which after I brought it a fitter machenic mate of mine modified it to fit the AU. my mate even asked me how did I manage to fit a pully on a truck turbo!

I'm sure the C.A.P.A kit are piss easy to fit as all the parts are there plus support it theres a prob.

Like I said, stay away from private sale items unless its been checked by a specialist.

the only reason I found out about CAPA was through this forum the day I signed up.

damn it. all that time, we tried filling in the gaps with makeshift parts.
all I can say is: I got a bad deal.
if only I knew CAPA existed back then. f**k f**k f**k!
