Looking at buying an EL GLi for the missus. Its very low km country car, anything I should be looking for??

if its a feb or later build (i believe) it has a hybrid engine, therefore it uses alot of the au engines internal componets. basically its a stronger a smoother motor but doesnt make anymore power.

98 model will have the hybrid engine in it.. basically uses a au bottom end a stronger engine like rapier said.

There pretty robust cars so apart from blown headgasket not too many things go wrong

I bought it.

76,000ks and the dam thing looks like brand new. its done 2000ks in the last 12months. Absolutley bog stock in the regency red colour. Drives fantastic. Very happy. Mind you we paid a lot for it compared to other ELs around.

And it needs a polish too, On the weekend I might have a bit of time to give it a good wash and polish/wax then I will take some more pics.

Funny tho, the missus says it feels like driving a 4WD, from that pic I can see why lol... looks like it had the overlander kit option :lol:
