Hi, i am replacing the welsh plugs on an ef 4.0 and am not sure of the best way of disconecting the fuel line to allow removal of the intake manifold?

any advice would be appreciated thanks.

If i rememver correctly, the fuel lines where they join down the bottom of the firewall, have a plastic clip which you push into the metal part, then you can pull the line apart? I think thats how it was.

just another question on removing the dizzy, undid the retaining bolt but doesnt want to budge is there a trick to removal?

Sometimes they stick a little, can you turn it? It may just need a little love tap on the bottom to budge it, then should just pull out.

Yes it turns but wont budge, should the crank be at tdc before attempting to remove the dizzy or can it be removed regardless?

Thats the cam angle sensor, the crank angle sensor is on the front of the timing cover.

set TDC
Remove the bolt
Lever/Pull it out.

Re installation is opposite, BUT,
There's a 3mm hole on the shaft of the synchroniser (cam angle sensor).
You need to rotate the gear with a rivet/drill bit inside the case hole so the inner shaft does not spin.
With this 'home' position and TDC on the crank insert it in the block.
You'll be trying to mate up the oil pump drive as well as the worm drive, a few in and outs will get it.
