A few days ago i noticed my car was quieter... at first i thought it was just me, but the more i drive the more im damn sure its quieter... i cant figure out why. I have a 2.5" cat-back exhaust, im wandering if its the exhaust itself or if its something to do with the engine maybe... its weird, i notice a tiny dent in the exhaust about 2-3cm after the muffler before it goes over the diff, would this affect it that greatly??? any other ideas towards this problem are welcome

could very well be a blocked cat, have you noticed a decent lack of performance. generally if the internals of a muffler come a part theres quite a distinctive rattling noise.

well the day i noticed it i heard a clanging noise when i started my car up, like a peice of steel, or a wheel brace being dropped on the floor, but as i backed my car out of the garage i couldnt see anything noticable on the floor, i havent really noticed much of a decrease in performance but i havent really put my foot into it enough to tell...

Sounds like a baffle has come loose and is partially blocking the exhaust. Try some hard accelleration in 1st and see if it feels constipated and holds back
