I just watched a spltfire video were all they did was change plugs and leads and airfilter and they produced another about 20kw@rw of an SS.

With changing these things can I expect these sort of power increases.

This just blew me away

Hey, im a pretty open minded guy... but i find it fairly hard to believe.

Perhaps if you were using f**k/poorly gapped/incorrect spark plugs and dodgy leads, then the switch would see 20kw @ the wheels...

I'm inclined to be a bit sceptical about 20rwkw, but even a couple would be nice. Every kw counts.

Id agree but on the first run on the dyno, it layed down 197.3kw@rw, dont quote me on that but its pretty close I think, and then they changed the leads and plugs an filter and it reached max at 214kw@rw.

I think they might have used that special thing called "Edititing" fu ckers.

Geez I got pretty excited considering it would cost next to nothing for such huge increases.

Thanks for your advice, its good to know that everyone are not as dogdy as that video guy grrrr

I wouldnt slag it off completely. 198kw @ wheels is about right for a stock Gen III (doesnt explain why i kill em with 170 hehehe)...

But that's a mammoth improvement for plugs/leads/filter... talking about 10% here. I spent nearly 8 grand for a 55% improvement....
