Hi Guys
Really need some urgent help as I need my car back on the road by tomorrow, just installed a 3:51 lsd into my EF Futura, it's a 5 speed, it's clunking under acceleration, put it up on the jack and had it in first gear releasing the clutch in and out and it was clunking everytime i released the clutch.. there was nothing wrong with the diff in the car that it came out of.. everything appears to be installed correctly.. anyone else had this problem or have any advice?? Thanks

AND I MEAN 3:45 LSD BEEN TALKING ABOUT 351 MOTORS ALL MORNING AND I CAN'T GET THAT NUMBER OUT OF MY HEAD HAHA

Are you sure the lower shock bolts and watts link bolts
are properly tightened

everything is tightened, just went for a drive in it, it sounds like its vibrating under acceleration and then it just clunks when changing gears and accelerating. hoping its not f***ked, my old mans going over it again but at the moment we have no idea what the go is.

have you checked the backlash in the diff?....and how are your uni joints?...also check you have the right bushes and bolts in the right mounting holes....i had a mate once that did a dif conversion on an xw ute and the thing vibrated like hell under full pedal....turned out he used the wrong bolts and the diff was lose on the hangers

thanks for the replies guys, think we've figured it out, pretty positive the trailing arms just need to be changed to a different hole so gonna try put it in the front lower bottom n hopefully that will fix it!

all fixed just had to change the trailing arms to the back lower ones and shes driving perfect!
