Hi guys....

Car died today on Albany hwy and needed to be towed - for the second time in 3 months! Engine is cranking but wont start. No spark at the leads or the coil - so im suspecting coil. Only problem is, i just changed the coil 3 months ago!!

All fuses seem to be intact (including eng and ign), and the relays are clicking when you turn on the ignition......any ideas??.

Coil shouldnt be failing after 3 months should it? Wouldnt think so.

they can die but only if youve done somthing like hose out the eangine bay and got the coil wet or it wasnt connected properly and shorted out, altho it cood be sumthin different, i no the immobilzer went on my car and all kinds of things happened, the spark would stop completely then it would work the next day and the injectors wouldnt pulse, although i imagine it should be fine on a factory fitted immobilizers either way just throwing it out there.
check the wire from the battery to the coil which could be damaged or change your coil again and if it does it again get an auto electrician to check everything, good luck mate

Cheers dude. Gonna replace the coil again, cause i dont know what else to do. I F**k hate that job.

Ive just never heard of a coil crapping out in 3 months before?!. Ive got new leads and distributor cap too.....The one i just changed was the original one that had done 135K!.
