cost of replacing head gasket (EF)
ok the deal is i only replaced my head gasket like 30000k ago (2 years) but now i wand to rip the head off to do head work so i want to know how much these thing will cost Head work $400 Head Gasket $$$$$$$$ (AU) Head Studs $$$$$$$$ any thing else ???? coolent ???? oil change ??? oil filter change??

pretty much what ever it cost last time i would imagine.
apart from the head work of course.

AU head gaskets are about $70 from ford.
Head Bolts are $5.50 each from ford. think you can get them cheaper elsewhere though. probably best to ask the bloke who's doing your head work. oil change with filter should only be about $30 or so - depending on what sort of oil you use. coolant change is it needs it will depend on what sort of coolant you use. i would imagine someehere around $50 maybe

In all honesty it depends where you buy your bits from.
I've seen people on here pay $180 for a pair of King springs, i could almost buy 2 pairs for that price. Costs depend on how well you'll get looked after when purchasing. Head bolts are around $40 a set, but again they will vary place to place. |
