As per the title, I cracked my head by driving the car when I shouldn't have and ended up with a reco head and new radiator  .

Like most I6's I've heard when I start it you can hear them for about a sec until the oil gets moving and then they quiet down.

Anyway, now its running well again I have noticed when the engine has warmed up and been running for a while the HLA's (I think) are quite loud, could this be due to the cracked head and the subsequent gunk that it created?

Cheers

ah shouldnt be its probably, because all the HLA retainer clips were broken adn they wernt replaced when the head was off especially if the lash adjusters were taken out of the rocker gear to clean them
