Me again

Been chaising this problem since I put an AU motor in my ED, high fuel consumption and poor idle.
I figured out how to get the codes out the EEC, so far I have Code 51 (Coolant temp sensor too high) and the Identifaction code.
So I replaced the coolant sensor and the car was great!
Untill the next morning! It runs awful in the morings, it seems to go into LHM.
But if its the middle of the day the car will run fine but will still show code 51.
I'm considering running two new wires into the EEC, if this solves it I'll try a new manifold loom.

Any other suggestions?

Code is stored in the memory so you will have to clear it. ECU may have to relearn cold start so give it a couple of days first.

I disconected the battery for an hour so it would clear the KAM, but it is still spitting out the code 51.

I am not sure if disconecting the battery clears the memory. Are you using an AU ecu with an AU sensor or have you cross matched and maybe they are not compatable.

Try leaving your battery disconnected overnight. I have noticed some cars take longer than others to 'forget' bad habits.

Naa its an EL EEC, Brand new sensor.
Funny thing is I pulled the plug off the sensor while the engine was running and the revs went up, as soon as I plugged it back in they died down. The EEC must know the sensor is there! :?

Nup still doing it.

It does it ONLY when it is cold outside, eg morning or night time.
Its like its going into limp home mode but from what I've read on here that only for autos, I've got a J3 with a manual bin on it.
