Hi guys
Has any one put a dev5 cam on their ef. I am getting one put on next week. I just would like to know what power output it would be and what is the idle like with a standed ecu. If any one has a sound clip that would be great. I have pacemaker headers 2 1/2 exhaust high flow cat and K&N panel filter.

Dont you need valve springs and stuff for the dev 5? Thought I read that somewhere.

im running an ems ecu and its set up with no ICS. My idle is set by the idle control switch [little screw on the throttle to keep it open when my foot is off the throttle.

Power is good above about 2000 rpm, im just not happy with the timing chain problems ive suffered.

The timing is alright. However what happened was that according to JMM there came causes "backlash". As Spiro form Autoteck [the engine builder] said after speaking with JMM, this has caused the chain to snap one of the guides [looking for picture]. Spiro says that this is the only I6 falcon they have ever had do this and it is caused from the cam...end of story, i supplied the cam so therefore it wasnt under warrenty and cost me another $550 to fix.

What is the timing chain problem?
Is this the full kit or just the cam?
I was told the standed ecu could control the idle fine
did it came with a Vernier Gearin the kit?
Was it ok after the chain was repaired?

timiing chain problem is that it snapped the timing chain guide twice. maybe its the cam maybe its the engine builder i dont know, they just blame each other and left me with the cost.

Dev 5 cam and matching springs and veneir gear all purchased from Jmm. Standard XR6 head
