Hi all.

Unsure if this has been covered before but my girlfriends bf fairmont ghias zf 6 speed has been acting up. The DSC light stays on, if you take off too fast, it will lock the diff up and go into limp mode, once you turn off the car and turn it back on, it goes back to normal shifting. I've have the car scanned, it comes up with Transmission Range Sensor. I have googled everywhere and having next to no luck.

Fault code is P0705

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The transmission range sensor is your shifter, the tcm needs to know where you have placed the gear lever, when you take off hard the tcm must be loosing the signal and when the wheels move and the abs start pulsing, the pcm and the tcm cant communicate on the can line, goes into limp mode and logs a code. Your best bet would be to find someone with a scan tool with ford software and watch live data and try to replicate the problem.
