Hi, been here for a fair while but never actually posted.
I spent some time on a dyno today with Matt @ BPR. After getting the tune done all seemed well untill i got home and randomly decided to check for dtc. i came up with a P0330 so i gave Matt a msg and he said to drop the spark back on the tune, did this to no avail, still spat the code. Long story short even after going back to the stock tune it is still spitting P0330 and P0325, which are knock sensors on bank S1 and S2. car also has a slight miss and roughness at idle. My mods to the car are as follows Pacemaker extractors. Underdrives VDO coilpacks Hiflowcat and catback SS inductions growler. Injected Gas Any help would be appreciated. Regards Daniel |

Soz mate a bit off topic but how did you find BPR in Geelong right? Im looking to get my ef XR6 tuned very soon and just was wondering if you could have an opinion on how your experience was and how well they tuned your car.
Soz to hijack just curious. Cheers Joel BTW i hope someone has an answer for ya because i dont know much about B series falcon. Good Luck.

He looked after me really well, allways told me what was going on and what he was trying to acheive with each dyno run. My dyno sheet is up on BPR website if you interested. @cozza88 is it possible that the dyno stress is what killed the sensors, there is two i asume, one for bank one and one for bank two. Also do you know where these are located? Regards Daniel |

knock sensor one is located at the front of the engine of the sixpot.
knock sensor two is located at your local bank where your money is being knocked off by dodgy tuner.  .just kiddin... haha. but i thought even the v8s only ever had 1 knock sensor?

No its just a N/A bf xr6. I was only going by what the code desciptions were on my sct x3 when i pulled them.

i know its a lexus but the same codes ended up being gearbox related.

Weird that knock sensor codes would be a gearbox but who knows lol.
Im thinking perhaps it may have something to do with the LPI i might give my installer a call on the 16th when his shop re-opens. Guess the major questions are, is it worth replacing the knock sensor/sensors and is it going to kill my car if i drive it as is? regards Daniel |

souldnt kill it if you take it very easy but i wouldnt suggest drieving it and yes it is worth fixing unless you want it to sit in a shed for years and rust away. aparently the knock sensors wer a common problem for the ba's and bf's or it was the crank sensor cant remember which one. but it was one of them.

Saying knock sensor code doesn't mean much. |

P0330, Knock s2 ckt (b2)
Is what i can pull out of it with my xcal 3. If im going to replace both the knock sensors, should i go genuine or aftermarket. If aftermarket does anyone have any brand suggestions? |

So if its a circuit code where does that leave me to look for my fault?
Am i looking a damaged wiring? ecu issues or something as simple as a loose plug? Also too would this code be retarding the spark back? or is it just a warning. Regards Daniel |
