me brother gave me a free roll of that fibreglass heat tape stuff that you can buy from autobarn for $50 a roll. Anyway it worked well on his 3in stainless steel intake on the Vl commodore so i whacked it on the 3.5inch pipe and also on the a/c pipe that goes up to the tx valve. Took it for a drive and running very cool, put my hand on the pipe and it wasn't even hot. cheers luke.......

hi
you need to put something in between your pod and your engine so your not sucking hot radiator air. you need something like my pic. or as others have said put it in a box

say there was a proper enclosed box/heat shield around the pod to stop it from sucking hot air.... how much/what difference would there be say a k&N panel filter in the air box.
people saying pod filters make slight difference but most ppl put it in for sound
