Hay everyone
i just broufht myself another EA its identical to my very first car which is why i brought it

i have a few questions about modding it
i like to keep it a CFI for now while i get the wagon fixed up my long term plan is to completle change the engine to a ef 4liter with a 3.9 head with cam + others
but for now i just want to change the exhaust and headers with a KandN filter
my question is can i put headers on it as it has a pipe from the intake to the exhaust can i get rid of this

dont use k&n filters they let 38% more dust particals in then your cheapest paper filter on the market, the best filter for you car is the orignal ford one it was made for the car

That EA has XC/XD Fairmont wheels on it. Why would you bother with CFI.
MPFI is the go, more power, sound better.

I think its there to help on cold starting. it sucks warm air off your headers and helps smooth cold idle until a thermostat closes the pipe off and gains air from its regular intake. at least thats what used to happen on my old KA laser. If it is one and the same, you can do without it, but clod starting will be rougher.

If its not what Im thinking then someone else will have to take this one.
