just unplugged the middle lower sensor on the inlet manifold ( Mass air flow??? ), the one just under the map sensor hose.
it felt like i gained more torque, and the car wasn't jerking around... hell it was much better... guessing this could be the issue here... will replace it with a spare i got laying around.

Whatever it is, it gave me a boost in performance when it was disconnected...
but the idle is still s**t ... keeps dipping down to 50rpm and slowly picks up to around 500

ea tacho starts at 500rpm and goes up in 100rpm increments, does it fluctuate up and down constantly like its hunting for idle??

It's usually worse than this, for example, that really low idle would happen at the traffic lights.

Gah i just put an ED falcon waterpump on my EA... it's pissing out water from the back where the o - ring is, surely ED falcon waterpumps didn't have a larger hole that the pipe fits into?

Well a $4.70 O ring fixed that issue, made sure the contact points were clean from rust and grease smeared around everything, nice good seal.
Gonna try an ECU reset on one of these forums i'll update how that goes.

I think you are at the stage where you can rule things out. Given it seems to be at all modes I would suggest it is fuel delivery driven and we can say it isn't anything confined to a single operational mode, e.g. recently mine was bad at part throttle and idle - it was the O2 sensor. My guess is you have ruled out the MAP sensor, but you got an improvement by removing the plug for the MAT sensor. If this has gone bad the ECU defaults to a baseline. Regardless, have you done an ECU test to check for codes. Mine immediately set code for O2, but I'll bet yours will tell you pretty quickly instead of changing everything. Not sure also if you did anything recently such as anything distributor related?

I tried pulling codes a while ago and it was giving me nothing... I suspect the exhaust system to be clogged as it sat for 10 years, going to install a new exhaust including cat. The only reason i suspect the exhaust system is i've tried 2 sets of injectors, no difference... the fuel pump is brand spanking new and there's no fuel delivery problems, there is no pulling power. It's like trying to climb a hill with a 1 ton trailer on the back.
It's not f@rt right.

The exhaust would have to be massively blocked. Free rev the engine and check the flow out the back. If it matches the timing and revs of the engine you don't have a blockage worth the effort.

Hmm i did a vacuum test with a new gauge i bought, i'm getting around 48psi at idle and the needle is bouncing around like f**k crazy, when i get the engine up to 2000rpm the vacuum increases to 50 and doesn't go down, so i suspect there's no exhaust restrictions.
Though that needle bounce is about 10PSI quick fluctuations.

Yes, also for some odd reason the needle settled down on the third test, only fluctuating about 2 psi rather rapidly.

I think we have the answer. You are not located on earth since your vacuum gauge shows 48psi vacuum which is 3.25 times earth's atmosphere! No Falcon was tuned to run in such extremes.
