When I go up a hill with the fan on in the car, the air redirects to the windscreen no matter where the position is( feet, face, both)

It only does it when the engine is under load, or heavy acceleration- any ideas?

Going up hills the car is under more load, so less vacume, therefore heater control servo's, (which operate on vacume) close and re-direct air to the default setting.
