I was running 98 for two seasons and have just upgraded to 102 but unless you are tunned to the fuel it will be nothing but cost more . be care full run any thing lower that 1/4 tank and welcome to fuel surge BADLY

we've 3 cars on the dyno that say otherwise. the only change made was from BP98 to 109 and all the cars picked about 10hp. one was a CA18DET silvia the other two were clevo powered falcons.
then when tuned to suit the 109 more power was found

10hp is still 10 hp. all els being equal if you have 10hp more then the guy next to you, he will be the guy behind you by the end of the straight.

for back to back runs, it's to much to put down to inconsistant dyno.

there IS power to be had just by using good feul. then MORE to be had with a good tune to suit it.

the other side of it is to build the engine to suit the feul. 12.5:1 compression instead of the 10:1 you'd have to run to use 98octane feul, will make a pretty big difference.

then the extra compression will let run just that bit more cam, and there is more power again.
