Hey guys, new here. Have been a fan of the 4L falcons for a while now.

I work for Holden but i' not biased :P

Anywho, a guy at work wants to sell me his EB xr6 5spd, for 3grand ish.

I was just curious as to what I need to look out for with Ebs.

If i bought it i'd probably put on a set of extractors, exhaust, CAI, cam and maybe a whole head reco.

Thoughts?

Cheers guys

Nah mate, ef-el, i've seen alot of dud xr6's. Granted not all of them are duds, but this is original owner. Looks to be in good nick. Has premium sound etc. All the options, except power windows.. not sure if they were an option on the xr.. hmm

EB xr6 is a great car. considering it runs the same time on the 1/4mile as a EL xr8. that would be enuf for me.

The guy that's selling it just took it down the track. Did a 15.2 lol.

I don't mean to sound like a typical p plater, but i just wanna be able to at least keep up with my mates. I've driven 5ltrs etc, but being on p's the only cars i've driven is my laser and an excel lol. All my mates drive commos. Whenever we go anywhere they leave me stranded lol. My mate's VS has 140rwkw. with a t5 manual. I just wanna at least be able to keep up.

Nah, this thing is pretty quick, it kept up with an VT series 2 clubby, the one with the 250kw ls1 (i think it's 250 could be 225)

Has a cam, extractors, full 2.5 exhaust, stage 4 chip and a tune. 139.8rwkw

the tickford motor is a good motor man you wont have any trouble beating your mates commos if you are keen on doing a few mods.. ive got a ed xr6 5spd with big cam j3 chip extracters exhaust, pod etc etc tuned to premium ran 161.3rwkw and little over 400nm torque, motors done 240k. and my thing beats all commy 6s and fairly stock 5ltrs, and just recently i raced one of my mates, mates in a supercharged vs 6 that he had spent a s**t on shift kitted stally and all, i pulled on him every gear.. then later on turbo nd be up there with the big boys lol

Hell yeah i'm keen!.

I was going to take it to JMM and get a dev4 kit. But i don't know if their prices etc are worth it or not. I love Falcons. (The AU was a let down), but they sound mean and go like a bat out of hell. I had to drive an auto LPG bf wagon and even that felt like it had a bit of torque behind it
