i was just wondering if anybody in S.A has a spare ea 4sp auto nonsmart lock ecu they would let me lend, my gear box is always in limp mode and i just want to see if the ECU is the cause of this i have done the mpfi conversion so i have no clue how many ks my ECU has done it could have fried it self
has any one tryed this and have had succsess
much appreciated

iirc the EA has a seperate ecu for the tranny

yeah ive heard that? could i change that ?
but im still pretty sure the engine management ECU has something to do with gear changes correct me if im wrong

All your gear changes are done from your tranmission ECU. Make sure your speedo sender is plug in. Clean the wiring looms and disconnect the battery and see how you go.

cheers heaps dude i already did that on the w/e im going to disconnect the ecu over night and see if that helps and clean it again
