I dont know what to listen for. just where the head joined the block thought was crack but had closer look. does the ED have an inertia switch if so where is it? im charging the battery once again I took the fuel line off and nothing came through.

ok

when you turn the key as to start it up ... don't turn the key all the way leave on ign [one click before start] .. you should hear a pump start for a few secs [from back of car]. if it does then its either a fuel blockage or blocked filter

as too inertia switch .... dunno

As Mad 2 said, when you turn the key to reds you should hear the pump prime, depending on how good your soundproofing is. Open the boot, lift up your boot carpet and get someone to turn the key to reds. You should here the pump prime. If it doesn't, check your Fuel Pump relay.

I assume from what you have already said, that your car is turning over when you try and start it?

Fuel pump not working will try new relay if that doesnt work will replace pump. but is there any chance the ecu would have shut it off and if so how would I reset it?

under overflow bottle - bridge fuel pump relay large contacts (orange/blue & black/yellow wires ) supplies power to fuel pump.
green fuselink is power to fuel pump relay.
if no pump operation check for power (black/yellow) AND earth (black wire)at fuel pump wiring at rear with relay circuit bridged -if circuit checks ok replace pump ....
inertia switch is normally behind left kick panel but should be no inertia switch on this model..
ECU controls fuel relay nothing to reset if ECU is working....
relay turns on momentarily when reds turned on then stops - then only turns on when cranking or running - unless you turn key off then back on when it will repeat this cycle ..................
reconnect after testing..
beware of fuel and electrical sparks = FIRE !!!

do you have a decent spark now ie. blue not orange??
do you have injection pulse ?? listen with a screw driver or test with led test light ..
