be close..

you *might* just get the edge. if yours was manual youd have him, but the auto might make it a bit closer

Yeh for shizzle.
I'd say the BA in BTR auto form would be good for mid to high 15's stock.
BF, the same, unless its for the ZF box, in which case I've got no idea, never seen one run before.
N/A BA Manuals are a mixed bag.
Not that many around, and I've heard of a Manual BA XR6 Ute being raped by an Auto XT.

you're all wrong so far. the ed will win. the utes are actually heavier again than the sedan in ba/bf range. obviously i am assuming that both cars in good nic. both being autos the ratios are about the same so no real advantage one way or the other. i'm not saying it would be an easy win but i would be sure the ed will have nose in front at least. not much between ed xr's and ef xr's and i've accounted for many ba's.

yeah but u have a 5spd!
his is auto. which will give him roughyl a high 15 1/4 mile.

ba xt ute would do a high 15 so it would be really close but i htink the ba would win.

wasnt the ed xr6 in the 14 sec ond bracketfor the 1/4 mile or was that the ef I remember thatthe xr6 was quicker than the xr8.

if its a 4 speed bf xr6 i think thin the ED would win.

If its the 6 speed auto bf I think it will be close either way.

Ba 4 speed and Bf 6 speed 1/4 mile times are nearly identical actually.

i have lined up a few on the street and its all very close.

at street speeds not enough difference to call it either way.

A BF fairmont 6 speed should have been hard but it wasn't so good of the line to actually do any more than edge away about a quarter of a car length till 60k then dropped back a half a car length as soon as he hit second and i began to rev out first.

The BA BF engibes are good but they are too heavy specially the monts and utes. manual XR6 and XR6T beware its just over straight away like an XR8
