Sorry just wondering what is with the stupid split air intake pipes? wondering if there is much power improvement in replacing it with a straight walled pipe.
If i was to do this would i be better running a pod setup or a k&N panel filter?
Also wondering if there is any value shortening the rubber intake pipe inside my airbox? And lastly. sorry to be so anoying but do ef's have a Mass Airflow Sensor? if not any point in adding one and how??? thanks again guys.

P.S Car is a GLi ex police (detectives car or something im told), Auto,Cat back 2.5in, XR 16's

No, they dont have a mass airflow sensor..

I had an EF and i first replaced the piping with 75mm aluminium tube bends from autobarn.. made some difference..
then i got a pod filter, and holesawed the inner guard underneath the airbox, and ran the piping into the front bar with a pod on it..
Crazy amount of induction noise, even before i got my exhaust it was loud, lol..
Noticed a fair difference in preformance then, especially on a freezing cold night, used to go real good then..

But, if i was going to do it again, i'd probably use a k&N panel filter, and an EF/EL Tickford snorkel, its alot easier.

I guess what im trying to say is, theres more to be found with extractors and Cat, than there is with induction.

Hope this info helps you

Click on the 3rd listing (Part 5)

Apparently a 3kw gain....

Difference is i ditched the accordian tubing and replaced with 3 inch mild steel pipe and joined to the BA intake with a VS commodore intake joiner. For a good fit, replace the airbox lid with an EL lid and cut the inside guts of the outlet, the 3" pipe will push straight in.

just means it will have a few updated things and might have an lsd in it. there might be holes in the dash where the gear used to be like my old one

Ok thanx for that. yeah pretty sure the diff is LSD. And the suspension is all new but still feels alot stiffer than most. kept with what was in there i spose. but no holes or anything in the dash its all in perfect nic accept for a cigi burn on the drivers seat

no they don't - they have a MAP.
absolutely no point in putting a MAF in, and I've got no idea how you would go about doing it or why you would bother!
