ok i checked all the injectors, they all have 12v on one pin when the ignition is on and i connected a test light from the other pin to the battery positive
and the light was pulsing when the engine was cranking, so they seem to be working to me.
i checked the crankshaft angle sensor both wires had 1.5v which is what they suppose to have.

i checked most of the pin outs on the ecu plug and they all seem to be in spec except for pin 94 (power control solenoid) it is suppose to be 12v but it was 7.84 v

well, if the injectors are pusling, and you have spark, the only thing left is fuel pressure (checked with a fuel pressure guage), and air.

Unless the injectors are rooted, but 6 injectors all rooted, unlikely.

Cheers

That's what I was thinking too, there's not a lot left to check. If you earth the top right pin of the diagnosis connector, and turn IGN on, the fuel pump will run continuously.
Again, as mentioned, if the injectors were gummed up due to non use, I couldn't see all 6 being like that.
You could try to manually 'fire' an injector/s (by putting 12v across it's terminals) while the pump is running as above with the respective spark plug removed and look/smell for fuel.

yeah i thought it might have been the fuel pressure because im not having much luck finding any other faults.
i checked the specs of the ea fuel pump against what the ef tickford engine needs.
ea fuel pump is suppose to pump 240cc every 10 seconds at idle at 200kpa and the ef engine needs 280cc at 300kpa
so i guess i need to get an ef fuel pump, right???

it should still run with that fuel pump, or atleast try to.

Make sure the fuel lines are the right way around... failing that, use some aerostart or something just to make sure its fuel.

Cheers

Agree with Justfordima - shouldn't matter which pump at this stage.
You just want to know if the engine kicks over when fuel is introduced, and as I say, you might need to do it manually to prove this.

If that's then a goer, you can then check the fuel system.

Cheers

What do you exactly mean here ?? Earthed the fuel pump itself, or the diagnosis connector pin ???
