To test the aerial i took it out from the wheel arch and pulled it apart and cleaned it up, then I ran two wires to it and tested it and it went up and down very well, I then put it back in the wheel arch and connected all wires and aerial leed, turned on radio nothing aerial did not work, I also have a switch to set the hight of the antenna and tried this still nothing, I also tested the switch wires to see if there was any power reaching the switch and nothing is coming through.
I have also tested the fuses

This would be a different fault. In yours the plastic teeth that get driven by the aerial motor is broken and you just need to fit another mast you can get from an auto store. It's a fun job.

So gecko you confirmed there is no power getting to the aerial when you turn the radio on? If so, this could be a head unit fault if this is a factory one.
