NO, but I would suggest, that being FWD, in standard trim, yhey would have a hard time getting a clean launch!!!

we used to have a 1995 manual magna v6, it would deffinately beat my stock auto ef, but my mates 2001 auto magna is a pretty even race.

It may not shut him up tho, it might make him loude,r ie he has a good chance of winning, not best, but good.

Im not saying the xr6 is slow, im not sayin gall magnas are fast, but i will tell you now some do get up n go bloody well, ive had a few in my old car, but also been beaten a few times by them when i had the 6cyl..
If i was going to buy one, id get the magna as its smooth and very zippy, the ones ive been in have been comfy and the verada range is good luxury for the speed the pull, i find them very impressive.

Will it beat the ef xr6 with extra 100kg of audio; time will tell and altho i dont know for sure, id have a feeling the magna might pull true lol, lil buggers!

can help u out here ... im magna though and though :P

check this http://ostat.com/dave/magnaregistry.html

consider most of the times up till 14.7 stock no more than exhaust and cai if that ...

96-98 magnas are generally 3L's .... they do go hard in manual form but the autos r yuk! .... 3.5's are alot more tourqy and the manuals have a nice amiount of pull in 2nd gear at 60 kms .... FWD is a huge factors though that kills them

nope ralliarts r a big waste of money ... they only have what is considered stage .5 cams really crappy extractors and slightly higher compression ............ but then they got that big a**'d body kit and the ugly spoiler to weigh them down .... so dont expect anything more out of a ralliart than another 3rd gen magna

only good thing i can say bout them is they have LSD

3.0l magna's are crap in stock form. even with zorst they don't offer any real competiton in my opinion. the 3.5's are a dif story. off the line they are ordinary but in gear they will give you one hell of a run. maybe even beat a stockie. i'm basing this on experience i have had in my car. have never been beaten by one but a few time my victory has been by less than car length from rolling start to 120 or so. from standing start i got about 2 - 3 car lengths but then it stabilised. that was a 04 vrx with zorst or custom tips at least. they are light too which helps.

Arn't the VRX's AWD? While the sport is FWD. Would make quite a significant difference on the launch!

i got the same car as u and the way i do it is i sit at the lights and just befor they turn green i rev it till 3,500 and let it drop and when it drops to 2,300 i put it down and i go hard .

dont know always works for me and ive only raced a 95 magna i think it was a sports model coz it had some sort of kit on it but i ended up 2 cars at 80 kms in a 90 zone so i stoped at 90.
