looked on here and I read something about earthing out the top right pin on diagnistic panel, tried it and nothing but a noise under the bonnet and still not start. To replace the brown and green fuse under the overflow, do I need to go genuine or can I get a non gen replacent?

also there is a green and a brown, what are each for and can I override the fuse to see what one it is?

one is an ecu relay, and one is a fuel pump relay,my local auto eleco had them in stock, pretty sure they are both the same type,

have u got a scan tool? if so plug it in and see if any error codes come up

na dont mate, tried the old earth out top left to one under and a series light to 5th from left but dont get anything, dont think i do that right as I can never get it to work

i have a spare ecu and fuel relay here that i don't need, so if you need them and are willing to pay for postage i will send them too you.....

If they cant help I will definately take you up on the offer mate. going to try the brown and the greed relay replacement. |

Replaced the fuel pump and no better. fuel pump powers up nicely, I checked the fuses in front of the air box and beside the overflow and they are all good. What now? If she fired when your poured fuel ito the throttle body, it probably won't be the Cam Angle Sensor. My bet is still on the injectors not firing. ECU issue more than likely. I have a EF Fairmont ECU here as well as Relays if you get stuck. |

if you have another ef/el swap parts over that are the same for example if you have or a neighbour or friend has an ef, swap the ecu's around, if their car starts with yours and your car doesnt start with theirs, its another problem, same with the relays etc,

I have an el gli ecu, if I plug that into the Ef mont will that cause any problems? Just to check if it is the ecu.

el wont plug in, its ment to run dizzy set up,
