i have a 1995 ef fairmont at the moment i have added a pod filter (in air box) taken out rear mufler almost changed all bushes to nolathane. put in gt gas shocks with lowering springs and i am also painting it black this weekend. i live in new zealand so parts for it arnt that cheep or findable lol.

but i was wanting to know a few things beceause i am wanting to get a bit more power out of it. so far i have in mind an exaust system and maby some head and cam work any sugestions are welcome this is the first ford i have ownd.

also is there anything you can do with the verable intake manafold to get more power.

ok sounds good, how about the verable length intake can anything be done with that

i just found a police spec ecu for my fairmont what exactly will this do apart from remove speed cut

Will be slightly more aggressive.

Will alter shift points, it'll hold off going into 4th gear until after 80kph.

Will make your penis larger.

You'll loose the correct ecu for the climate control (nothing you'll notice tho)
I think the Fairmont Ecu's optimize engine rpm, speed and temps to help the climate control a little better, but i could be talking s**t :/

ok thanks it might be worth a look at than. i wont worry about climate control iv allready had to change ecu cos the old 1 wouldent let it idle proprley

i did that nothing workd acording to ford there is a resistor that craps out in the ecu and prevents it from learning how to idle agagin so i just replaced it with one from a falcon futura
