Just got a brand new head for my ef falcon and I got told I had to like run it in sorta thing, how long does it take and what speeds am I allowed to do?

if its a brand new head just drive it normal for around 500km...
if its a reco or second hander no need to run anything in..

drive it normal??

just put it all together and its making a sorta chugging noise and shakes the whole car, will it go away as it runs in?
