Hey guys!
i took my engine apart today and found out it has blown a head gasket! ive got a ef sittin in my driveway with the head just done on it!

just wanted to know exactly what is involved in putting a ef motor into my eb series 2.
i already have a EL ecu installed, bbm and thermo fans.
Also im dumping the whole front end in...so the engine will be coming in from the bottom with the power steering etc.

my biggest concern is the deal with the ef's having coil pack..can this be easily changed to distributer??
i need info asap as its goin in on saturday.

help is greatly appreciated :)

fixed up the timing and reved perfectly. but when i took it for a spin for some reason when the engine is under load it goes like a absolute dog! (really rich and made the extractors RED hot.

any one know what could be wrong?

the engine will bolt straight in and all the bits of your engine can be put onto the ef engine..
as for the dizzy just remove the cas sensor from the ef and put the dizzy in the hole..

After several tries, I found that the TFI on the dizzy needs to face towards the firewall as one of the BBM braces is in the way of it's EA-ED location. You'll need to swap the oil pressure sensors, radiators & surge tanks.

It's best to use the EB manifold loom and extend the wiring where necessary. That way, everything plugs together easily. :D Use heat shrink to seal the soldered wires.

Have you read BenJ's & Troyman's engine swap threads? Lot's of useful info in there.
