Hey all,

I took my car out on a 35 deg C day a few days ago, so I had to put on the AC.

After the car had warmed up, and I'd made a couple of stops, I found it increasingly hard to start the bastard!

I mean, I would turn the key, the starter motor would be cranking the engine, but the engine just struggled to fire, and when it did, it was on the verge of stalling for a couple of seconds!

This tends to happen quite often on warm - hot days, AC on or not.

I never have this problem at night, or on cooler days!

What do you think is the problem? Any suggestions appreciated!!!!

I find the same with my EFII as well.. annoys the crap out of me. Without really consulting my thermo books, my theory is that its got to do with heat soak vapourising/superheating some of the fuel in the rail when the cars shut down and left to boil for a while (especially high series cars like the F'mont/F'lane and LTDs that have additional insulation under the bonnet). Normally its the injector that is responsible for vapourising the fuel before being injected into the combustion chamber so by trying to start with superheated vapour may cause the ECU to have a hissy fit.

I have the same problem in my ED. Today was a cool day, and it fired no worries all the time.

had this problem with my car it was also running reala s**t so i bypassed the ISC solonoide with a on/off swith and now when the car heats up to running temp i just switch it off easy 5 min fix jobby
