hey all,

just wondering what the difference between the el and ef alternator is.

theres a guy selling one in the fs forum for a el and i have a ef.

niko said that the the ef is 110w and the el is 100w.

whats the diff?

The rating is in Amps, not watts.

Not sure why the difference, might be more stator windings in the EF one.
I think you'll find that they'll both run fine whatever model (EF/EL) they're fitted to.

lol yeh my bad about the watt and amp thing lol.

i dont understand why they would have changed it but.

Cheaper most likely.
Fraud may have found that 110amp was an overkill to run the twin thermo's and other simultaneos acc's.

Well, EF's have 3 speed thermo fans and a coil pack.

Maybe they deemed that it needed a few extra amps to cover all the accessories at full load than an EL did.

its shouldnt matter i had a xe alternator im my rs2000 turbo and a ex battery and it was fine same s**t i guess
