gday have a 97 ef xr6 auto n had alot of running issues. after much time have found we have no injectot pulse. wat can cause this. we r told its eec but r havn lots probs findin one. its a 5TFA is there any other eec's we can use? any info vry handy

Any auto ef ecu will get it to run if thats what the problem is. Im not too good with the ecu side of things myself. Maybe try posting in the ecu section as well? Just to get some more attention.

el ecu wont fit ef.. completely different plug, but any ef ecu will fit...

El won't work cos el ecu runs the dizzy and Ef is coil pack.
How exactly do u know u have no injector pulse ?

97 EF?
Thats grey area with ECU's. EF have 104 Pins and have a Blue seal inside. EL have 60 Pins and have a Red seal. and also, has the car been wired for gas at some stage?

Can't be 97 EF, EF's finished at the end of 96, check the build plate and as Krytox said, check to see if it has a dixxy or a coil pack.
On injector pulse, is your fuel pump operating? |

it has coil pack, fuel pump working, mate put multi meter on injct plug. n my bad its a '96' also it keeps blowing main 30amp fuse. have replcd leads coil pack also "dizzy replacement" sencr all relays n most other engine sencrs? ????

see if you can get another ECU, GLi would do for the test and see if you get injector pulse then.
