From all inspections cat is fine, one thing I noticed was corrosion in my dizzy, so I'm replacing that this week, if that doesn't work I'll try the ecu! And when I figure out what is causing it I'll post the answer as from what I can tell plenty of people are having the same issue and no one seems to post what they did to fix it!

Make sure you swap your gears on the dizzy over when you replace it, to keep the gears and the aux shaft matching,

Have been known issues of the aux shaft chewing out when this has not been done.. Result = New Engine.

Alright guys problem f**k solved!!

Turns out the dizzy and all other parts were worn, so replacing them helped the vehicle live!

Buuuuut, turns out it was the cat, decided to dyno my car, and it made 32kw peak power, took exhaust off and the problem was gone, so got a new cat and custom mandrel bent 2.5inch exhaust, dynoed it and it made 94kw(peak), was still sluggish, but was a huge improvement, drove around for aprox 5 hours, and the ecu is learning that it's no longer f**k, so although it still struggles to pull a skid it's getting better and better by the minute!

I repeat, it was a catalytic converter this whole time, only sure fire way to test is to remove and check it!

Update**

Problem was temporarily solved, now whenever you rev it past 3500rpm in gear, it starts to backfire(i think that's what it's doing) and won't make any extra power, any more ideas?

Sick to death of this f**k EL

Backfire normally means running too lean - not getting enough fuel.

A long shot: A worn exhaust lobe on the cam or broken exhaust rocker arm will cause the symptoms you are describing. But that very rarely happens. The exhaust valve doesn't open, so the exhaust stroke is just a compression stroke, releasing the combustion gasses out the INTAKE valve as soon as it opens. Have only seen it once - and not on a Falcon 6.

So, yesterday it backfired really badly and died, so I got it home and started disassembling the motor to evaluate the damage, aux gear is absolutely SMASHED so, hopefully that was what was throwing my timing out and causing all the issues?

You didn't swap the gears to keep them matching did you?

Your better off getting another donk, that one will be full of metal shavings

I hadn't even replaced the dizzy yet, only just bought the new one to put in, then bang the mother f**k died :(

All good, I'll fix the motor, it's a good healthy motor apart from that issue with a mere 120,000 on the clock!
