mk

i was going to sell my car and buy a BA or a AU but over night ive decided i like the car too much and im going to spend my BA/AU money on fixing up the EL to a nice street machine.

Before i get stressed about looks i want to rebuild the gearbox (i dont want a manual so dont try tell me i should get 1). Anyone know anyone reliable where i could get this done, and what price am i looking at?

Also the engin...id like to get something along the lines of an AU engin put in...just standard, the only mods this car will get is a few good looks and extractors. I've already done the exhaust n that does it...i dont want to be attracting too much attention...and im no racing car driver. How much would an AU engin be to get installed? (rebuilt one preferably)

I am already getting the respray done...ive got that figure.

Any suggestions as to where i get wheels from? Ive been to all the major websites but none of them put prices on the sites...really annoying when you are trying to budget up a car. I'm thinking around the $1500 mark?? 17" obviously...

Im going to clean up the interior...either buy a leather interior from somewhere or to get what i have redone...i expect to buy it ready done will be cheaper? Ive seen them around under the $800 mark, anyone got any suggestions...ive rang a few wreckers but they are not very helpful as to date.

Window tinting...whos cheapest ?

Already have an alarm...

thats about it for now...let the discussion begin

You want a street machine eh?
Then 18' wheels are the best go. You will probably want a body kit too? W

too hard to keep clean, shows scratches...looks good when clean but the other 99% of the time it looks pretty silly.

thats a nasty cough you have there.
shame it would be too hard to make it fit.

i know i'll got flamed big time here but. A toyota quad cam 1UZFE would fit. have around 220kw and with a good exhuast they sound so tough it's scarry. i just finnished putting one in a hilux surf at work and thing goes hard now.

if you don't want to much attention from the cops 17"s are a good size. thought about using some thing from a different modle falcon??

I've got an EF fairmont grille if you want one, but you are going to need a new bonnet and headlights. But this will allow you to choose from an EF/EL fairmont, NF/NL fairlane, DF/DL Ltd, GT or FBT grille.
