Hi guys,

In preparation to getting the EL motor into my EA, I've been moving small stuff over, and today I swapped the EL map sensor in and plugged it into the ED motor..

They are slightly different shapes, and the EL one has a slightly different part number, (but mostly the same).

Is there any real difference between the two from a functional perspective? I mean is it going to cause any probs with the ED motor?

I'm guessing not, but doesn't hurt to be sure...

I think for map sensors the part numbers start either with A1A or A2A. As long as the ones your interchanging have the same prefix then should be fine.

cool... I'll have a look later, I think it was the later numbers that differed, the first 5 or so were identical.

seems to be working ok, not that I've noticed any diff to the old one.

the part numbers are different due to the time of manufacture.
but are the same.

ok,

I wouldn't have asked at all, only they are slightly different shapes... The EA one is rectangular and the EL one is angled on one side.

I have the EL map and oxy sensors on now.. not noticed any difference so I'm assuming both sets worked fine.
