Iam looking at fitting either an EL or AU1 series six into a 1986 XF panelvan. Have been told I need XG engine mounts for straight bolt-in.Also I am using a T5 fine spline gearbox, which is currently behind a 351C in a FC LTD.Will the g/box crossmember out of the LTD bolt in and give me the correct position to mate with the motor?
I also want to use the lsd disc diff and tailshaft from the ltd.
Will EA/AU pwr steer pump run a XF pwr steer box?
Are radiators different?
I have XG fuel tank with sender and pump.Any problems with wiring in new engine harness and computer to existing loom?
I have been told the AU motor has a six bolt bottom end.I am going to add a turbo to this motor shortly and was wondering which would be the better choice of motor?

your right with the XG mounts you will also need a XG swaybar to clear the sump. you could use a XF T5 crossmember for the gearbox, diff and tailshaft will bolt straight in.
you can use a XG radiator will will need to do a few mods to the bottom of the radiator support.
the later power steering pump will work on the XF.
as for wiring if you plan on a turbo just wire it up with a aftermarket ecu now. something like a autronic ecu, they are easy to wire up and will save you a big auto elect. bill. will give you greater control of your engine tune.

if you need these parts we have just had a XG ute arrive for wrecking.

I'm currently in the process of putting a ZL efi motor and complete dash (everything,steering,a/c,console,crash pad etc.) into my XF panelvan.
paid $800 for the lot+interior from local wrecker.
Planning to put turbo's on this temporarily until new motor organised.
what sort of prices were you after for the conversion bits?
How much for XF-T5 cross member and why can't I use the one out of my 79ltd?
Also,I need a bellhousing for the T5 to go on the 4.1 block.I have a V8 one on my clevo that I am willing to sell or swap.
I have the clutch pack too but I was told this would not go on the six.The g/box is a fine(26)spline HD box from the first walkinshaws and I don't think a normal T5 clutch will match.
